So....where do i even begin? The whole experience at the Miss Thruston County Scholarship Program was amazing. The producers and director of the pageant taught all of us contestants so much that will travel with us all for a life time.Lets just jump right ahead into the night of the show. My talent was interesting this year. I normally dance for competitions but i got injured last year a week before i competed in Miss Washington as Miss Mason County 2006. So this year i did a vocal performance to "Apre de ma blonde." This song is in french and is so much fun to sing. When it was time for awards i was so exctied and hoped i would make top three. When i heard my name called out as top three i was so excited, and i was up against three other amazing and talented young women. After the secound runner up was announced i was in shock that i was in the final two and one of us was going to be the new Miss Thurston County 2007. During the announcement of the 1st runner up and Miss Thurston County i was confused because i didnt really hear what the announcer was saying. Courtney ( in the final two with me) started to walk up to Miss Washington receiving the award...so i assumed she had won. Little did i know...... I looked over and saw April (M
iss Thurston County 2006) walking towards me with the crown and realized then that i had won. I was so excited i was about to jump in the air! It was an amazing feeling, and i was totally in shock at the moment! I cant wait to get into my year of service as Miss Thurston County through out my community and also to represent my community at the Miss Washington Scholarship Pageant on July 6th and 7th.Yeah.....another summer at Miss Washington!
